Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking&nbsp;a motivated, customer-focused&nbsp;Front Desk Representative&nbsp;to join our healthcare team. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for our patients while ensuring smooth, efficient front office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;This person would be scheduled to work in our Falmouth, Sandwich, and West Yarmouth offices. Schedule will vary 24-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday; Hours are 8-4PM.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Greet and register patients promptly and courteously upon arrival.</li>
<li>Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.</li>
<li>Possess working knowledge of a variety of&nbsp;insurance plans and coverages; determine eligibility and coverage for services.</li>
<li>Collect&nbsp;co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances&nbsp;at check-in and check-out.</li>
<li>Assist patients with&nbsp;past due balances, explaining payment options and processing transactions.</li>
<li>Schedule patient and diagnostic appointments&nbsp;accurately and efficiently for&nbsp;multiple physicians, coordinating with internal departments.</li>
<li>Follow up on appointments to minimize no-shows and maximize productivity.</li>
<li>Address patient inquiries in person with professionalism and care.</li>
<li>Collaborate with clinical staff and management to ensure optimal patient flow.</li>
<li>Take initiative in solving problems and escalating issues when needed.</li>
<li>Contribute to a positive office culture by&nbsp;demonstrating leadership and a willingness to take on challenges.</li>
</ul>
Ideal Candidate:
<ul>
<li>A High School Degree or GED.</li>
<li>Minimum of&nbsp; 2-3&nbsp;years of medical or health care related setting/front desk preferred&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proven experience with insurance verifications and patient billing.</li>
<li>Must have a working knowledge of computer and respect for confidentiality.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to detail.</li>
<li>Epic experience a plus.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Bilingual skills a plus.</li>
