Job Responsibilities:

About the Role
Our Statistics team provide statistical and analytical expertise across Costello Medical, devising statistical analysis plans and performing data analysis within R, Excel, Stan, SQL and BUGS software. They are also responsible for communicating the methodologies and results in both written and oral formats to drug and device manufacturers, and doctors. The statistical analyses vary across patient-level clinical trial data, observational study (real-world) data, and published aggregate data. Our work involves a range of techniques such as basic statistical analysis of individual patient data, regression analysis, survival analysis and complex Bayesian network meta-analysis using both standard and emerging methods.
The Senior Statistician will lead statistics projects, working very closely with the Consultant or Team Lead as well as colleagues from all specialities, to ensure that statistics projects are delivered to an exceptionally high standard, on time and in line with client expectations. This involves providing strategic advice to clients at project initiation, supervising the project team and regular interaction with external stakeholders by teleconference, email and in person. The Senior Statistician will also be central to the quality control of the project, involving the review of colleagues' work and the provision of constructive feedback.

What You Will Do: The Senior Embryologist will be responsible for performing all procedures in the IVF Laboratory under the direction of the IVF Laboratory Supervisor. The Senior Embryologist must demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the various procedures performed in the IVF Laboratory. The Senior Embryologist reports directly to the IVF Lab Supervisor.

The Center for Engineering in Medicine &amp; Surgery (CEMS) is a place where scientific rigor and creativity are matched by a sense of sharing and community, bringing technology to the forefront of biomedical research and the practice of medicine. We have an opening for a junior technical staff role (Bachelors level training in relevant fields with &lt;1 years experience). Relevant experience in small animal surgery, molecular biology, mammalian cell culture including hepatocytes and endothelial cells are preferred. All our technical staff work together with PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty and participate in research, and therefore good analytical skills and independent thinking are critical. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must in our fast paced environment featuring translational research ranging from cells to organ transplantation and clinical studies.
 
Over the last decade all staff with similar roles have been acknowledged as authors in scientific publications due to their intellectual contributions. The vast majority have moved on to receive graduate training in MD, PhD or MBA programs, including many ivy league schools. The others have found high-paying industry positions. What You’ll Do:
Your Impact:
Join our dedicated team working to protect and manage breeding shorebird populations on Nantucket Island’s Coskata- Coatue Wildlife Refuge. This 1,117-acre barrier beach system not only showcases some of the island’s most unique and iconic landscapes but also serves as vital habitat for an array of imperiled species. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our nesting shorebirds and make a tangible difference in preserving these special ecosystems. 

The Role:
As the Shorebird Technician, you will protect, monitor, and manage several species of beach nesting birds on Nantucket’s Coskata- Coatue Wildlife Refuge. 

Specifically, you’ll:
<ul>
<li>Perform daily monitoring, management, and data collection activities for all focal species including breeding piping plovers, American oystercatchers, and several species of tern. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure data is accurate, organized, and up to date. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Install, maintain, and remove symbolic shorebird fencing and signage. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assist with targeted predator control and monitoring efforts. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Conduct post-breeding migratory shorebird surveys. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Compose weekly reports on the status of beach nesting birds and beach access to be distributed organization wide. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Compile and report productivity data for state piping plover, American oystercatcher, and tern and complete an end of season internal shorebird report. </li>
</ul>

<li>Regularly communicate with the Coastal Ecologist and beach management staff to ensure the successful implementation of our shorebird protection program. </li>

<li>Occasionally interact and educate visitors about shorebird and barrier beach ecology. </li>
